About

Providence Hospital and Medical Center is an alcohol and drug addiction treatment facility that is located at 16001 West 9 Mile Road in Southfield, Michigan. Treating substance abuse involves multiple stages of treatment through a recovery program such as that offered by Providence Hospital and Medical Center. This can include group counseling, individual counseling, outpatient treatment, inpatient treatment, and medically assisted detox, among many others. Treatment programs are based on the individual themselves and are constructed to suit each patient individually. Just as every person is unique, so should treatment programs and that is exactly what patients will receive at Providence Hospital and Medical Center.

If addicts do not obtain the right type of support and guidance, they may find treatment to be very difficult as the thought of sobriety can seem so far-fetched. At Providence Hospital and Medical Center, professional counseling and guidance are provided to all patients aged 18+, giving them the strength needed in order to obtain a life that is free of drug and alcohol addiction. By altering the patient's outlook on life through addiction treatment, they will be able to stay positive throughout the duration of rehab.

The staff members at Providence Hospital and Medical Center have a mission and that is to give patients effective and quality addiction treatment so that long-lasting sobriety can be obtained. The path to a positive future starts on a positive foot and that begins at Providence Hospital and Medical Center. Confronting addiction is a difficult thing to do, but it is the most important step in the recovery process. Through professional counseling during the patient's time in treatment, patients will learn coping skills and trigger management which is imperative to the success of maintaining sobriety.

Maintaining sobriety on one's own is extremely difficult, especially when the addict has tried to go 'cold turkey' on their own. This is because it requires medically-assisted detox in order to properly and safely wean the body off of the substance of abuse. This way the body does not go through sudden withdrawal nor experience harsh side effects. Providence Hospital and Medical Center can provide patients with all of the necessary tools, treatments, and resources so that patients have every opportunity to succeed in recovery.

Getting treatment is the best option when seeking a life that is free of substance abuse. Get the help required now and start living the best life possible. Contact Providence Hospital and Medical Center by visiting www.stjohn.org/providence/ now.

This hospital is clean, comfortable and nice. I don't see how it don't have more stars than what it have. The nurses and doctors here are amazing...and I also love the food lol...very healthy and everything..After giving birth to my first the nurses kept checking on me and made sure I was comfortable and ate well. I had my first born here last year and now currently 39weeks with my 2nd child and plan on having my baby here again. The only thing I didn't like was how my teenaged sister couldn't be in the room with me because I didn't wanna be alone because the father couldn't make it till the next day..but other than that I like this hospital a lot and plan on coming back❤.

Dr. Michael Lee and his professional staff were amazing. The nurses were outstanding and very caring. They saved my father's life with an emergency heart bypass surgery after being transferred from Novi. Uoon arrival, Tony the PA, stayed to await my father after hours and Jeff, the nurse anesthetist, were incredible! They explained everything and had incredible follow up. I would not go any where else! Thank you Providence Hospitaland staff for everything!

Went to the 7th floor. The heart doctor I saw was very nice. An older man, so I assume he had experience. He brought in 2 student like people who I assume he was training. I like that, anytime you can teach someone, do it. They looked over my blood work and asked a lot of detailed questions, really want to know what's wrong with me and trying to figure it out.

This is a great hospital. I trust the staff here. I've had multiple surgeries here. There is a gift shop here so that you can get your loved one something that you think they'll love. The food is good here. I used to hear people talk about hospital food and how horrible it is, Not here. It's actually good. Every night they say a prayer over the intercom. No matter what your religion is, a prayer is very comforting, especially if you've had a rough day.

All staff were fantastic. RNs very knowledgeable. Docs informative. Only concern was discussion with pain control nurse Practitioner. She told me that I was having too much pain for the surgery I had. She said I was asking for to much pain medicine. I informed her that I was well aware of the type of surgery I had and that I only asked for pain medicine when I needed it. I felt as though she came in with an attitude regarding my level of pain and exactly how it should be treated. I didn’t feel as though she listened to me.

Waiting was a little longer than expected but the staff here is always nice to me. I wish I lived closer and I could've gotten a better PCP through Providence. I went here today for ruptured ovarian cysts and they didn't make me feel bad and helped me with being comfortable throughout the ultrasound. Thank you. The night nurse was very nice and he had a GREAT personality

I love this hospital! While pregnant with our first child, I had an ER visit for extreme vomiting/possible dehydration. Nurses and doc were phenomenal. Saw me right away (I was vomiting being wheeled to my room, they were very compassionate to me, as I must have been a pitiful sight) got me the meds I needed, the relief I needed and as soon as the nausea was controlled gave me water and a popsicle. Other hospitals have always made me wait many hours before giving me anything to eat or drink or send me home famished, they were very practical and met my needs. My son was born here, love the midwife team at the ABC & am planning to have our next child here as well. Also get bloodwork here in the lab often, the ladies there are friendly and very skilled. Extremely satisfied with this hospital all around.

We came here from Fowlerville because my specialist has an office here. Everyone was very kind and they took good care of me. Connie your volunteer in the emergency is an angel. She sat and combed the knots from my hair. I had been so sick I was a mess. My surgery went well and my nurses were always there for pain management or whatever I needed. Thank you. God Bless
